Green Line Transforms U of M Campus

Today is the first day passengers will be served on the Metro Transit Green Line between downtown Saint Paul and downtown Minneapolis. From what I understand, the entire Metro Transit system will be fare-free all day Saturday and Sunday as part of the celebration. That means you have no excuse to not get on board and take a ride on the train and experience the many neighborhoods it passes through.  My 4 year old daughter and I will be taking advantage and touring the line–please join us.

This is a short video from the U of M’s Center for Transportation Studies department about the transformation of Washington Avenue which runs through the heart of campus that was brought about by the Green Line’s development. I can’t seem to cut and paste to quote the video’s description so please click through to read that here. is a non-profit and is volunteer run. We rely on your support to keep the servers running. If you value what you read, please consider becoming a member.
