The History of the Midtown Greenway

February 19, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Midtown Greenway trail in Minneapolis has been named the best urban bike trail in the nation, used by thousands of cyclists every day. It helped spark the biking revolution in the Twin Cities, and led to hundreds of millions of dollars of economic development along its route. Join the founder of the Midtown Greenway Coalition and original visionary for the Greenway, George Puzak, to learn the history of the Greenway and how a small group of citizens helped build the trail that is nationally and internationally famous. George will be joined for the presentation by Soren Jensen, executive director of the Midtown Greenway Coalition.

Admission is free. The Vault will be open from noon to 4 pm. Light refreshments will be served after the program.

We are located in the education annex of Saint Mark’s Cathedral on Loring Park and across from the Walker Art Center. Look for the CMM curbside sign and blue “Welcome” awning. Bike and car parking is available in the lot, as well as on the street.
