Editor’s note: Deadline extended to November 23rd (end of day).
Streets.mn has begun our annual board recruitment drive and is seeking board members for the 2023-24 term.
We seek all individuals, especially those who will improve the board balance of racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation and sexual identities, to more accurately represent Minnesota. We also welcome board members from a variety of occupations and perspectives; a background in public policy or urban planning is not necessary to be considered. We encourage you to apply or forward this post to a friend or colleague who might be interested.
It has been amazing to watch the work of Streets.mn grow from humble beginnings to where we are now. We have brought on a part-time managing editor, we are currently working on a racial equity analysis of our organization, and we continue to put out great work discussing so much happening around the Twin Cities and Minnesota. (Thanks to our contributors and volunteer editors!) As a volunteer-run organization we need people who are passionate about our mission — and who are willing to roll up their sleeves, collaborate with others and do the work.
All interested applicants are invited to apply here. Special consideration will be given to applicants who can contribute to the Streets.mn board in the following ways:
- Volunteer Coordination
- Legal Experience
- Social Media
- Partnerships Experience
Meet the Board
We will be hosting two outdoor board information happy hours at The Market at Malcolm Yards (501 30th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414). These are great opportunities to learn a little more about the board, ask questions, and just meet fellow Streets.mn folks.
- Thursday, November 3, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
Interested applicants should complete the application here. Applications are due by November 23rd, end of day.
Monday, November 14 at 8 a.m. If you have any questions about the application, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
