The streets.mn Summer Picnic is July 15!

If my math is right, this year’s picnic will be our fourth annual. In an unusual show of organization, we are announcing this event six weeks ahead of time! Come celebrate everything we’ve accomplished since last summer (oooh, a new comment policy). Critical info is:

Saturday. July 15
Boom Island Park, Shelter B
Picnic – 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Membership meeting – 2:00pm-3:00pm

streets.mn will provide meat, non-meat equivalents, and all the tools required to make those things hot. Probably some non-alcoholic beverages as well. And ketchup.

We will also provide the board leadership for  a casual, open meeting for about an hour before the picnic. We’ll give an update on what’s happened over the year, and we’ll be asking for your input for 2017-2018. If you have an idea to share about how to improve the site, or really just want to tell us how great we are, please come early for this chat!

You will provide your fun self, family, friends, pets, and a dish to pass. Fun required, potluck not required, but encouraged. The park allows 3.2 beer in cans, but no glass and no hard alcohol, so if you want 3.2 beer, please bring it.

The event is free, but don’t be surprised if we ask you for money when you get there. streets.mn is a non-profit, volunteer run organization, and we’ve got bills to pay (and big plans for the future).

Sorry to miss this as I already have another commitment that afternoon. Hope the board update and any focused questions for input can be posted on the site too for those of us who can’t make it!
