Open Streets Broadway

streets.mn September Events

Open Streets BroadwayAs summer winds down, we here at streets.mn are ramping up for fall with a full slate of events for everyone. Here are the events we have on our calendar for September:

streets.mn Happy Hour on Wednesday, September 12th

Join your fellow streets.mn comrades for a fall-time happy hour get-together!

Let’s gather in a particularly transit- and bike-friendly location: Venn Brewing in South Minneapolis (46th Street South and Hiawatha, 3550 East 46th St, Suite 140). We’ll start around 5:15 and stick around past 7, just in time for you to hop on the Blue Line if you’re headed to the Twins game that night.

All are welcome! Although this event takes place in a brewery, Venn is family-friendly and non-alcoholic beverages including kombucha are available.

Hope to see you at Venn!

Volunteer for streets.mn

As the Events Committee continues to roll out more events for the streets.mn community, we can use your help as a volunteer. We are looking for volunteers to help with:

Open Streets — Would you like to spend part of your day engaging with members of the community, talking about better places for our neighborhoods? We are currently accepting volunteers to assist the Events Committee with tabling at Open Streets on September 12, 23 & 30. Shifts are 10:45-2:15pm & 2:00pm-5:30pm. If your are interested, email the events team.

Writer meet-ups — We are planning to add quarterly writer meet-ups for streets.mn contributors to gather and share ideas. If you would like to facilitate one of these events (with complete support from the Events Committee), email the events team.
