Join the Streets.mn Board of Directors!

Hello, Streets.mn readers! We need you to help support our organization.

We’re always looking for new volunteers and contributors, but this time of year we’re kicking off board recruitment for the 2024-2025 term!

Do you like thinking about our urban (and suburban, small-town and rural) streets and land use? Getting nonprofit board experience and building your résumé? Making thoughtful decisions about how an organization is run? Supporting new contributors?

This is the place for you!

Streets.mn is now in its second decade, and we’re working toward big goals through our volunteer board. We continue to strive toward better racial equity in our board, content and contributors. We cultivate new voices and have a part-time managing editor to ensure we have great content five-plus days a week. We host events to socialize and provide space to meet other like-minded people.

With more capacity, we can do even more!

Interested applicants are invited to apply here by Sunday, November 5. Special consideration will be given to applicants who can contribute to the Streets.mn board in some of the following ways:

  • Fundraising.
  • Engagement: social media and events.
  • Volunteer management.
  • Outreach experience.
  • Editorial (editors, videographers).
  • WordPress developer.

If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Meet Board Members at an Upcoming Event

If you’re interested in joining the board, volunteering or contributing, but want to learn more, we have three events over the next month. Board members will be there to talk about their experience on the board and answer your questions. Hope to see you at one or more. Look for the orange cones!
