Sidewalk chalk that reads Streets.mn

Board Application Extended to Sunday, November 12

Are you interested in joining the Streets.mn board of directors? Now is your last chance! With the busy fall season, and allowing for a little procrastination, we’ve extended the Streets.mn Board application deadline to Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Why We Need Volunteers

Our organization could not exist without our wonderful community of contributors, editors, writers and other volunteers, and that includes the board of directors. You can apply using our board application form.

We published a piece last Friday with quotes and stories about what it’s like to be on the board. I myself am excited to renew for another two-year term. I plan to continue to work on some website design changes, keep our behind-the-scenes technology running, and work on adding new features to the website and improving our processes.

I joined the board without ever having written a post for the website, but I was passionate enough about the mission and values to want to contribute by being a director and helping out behind the scenes.

What Skills and Strengths Can You Bring?

No board experience is necessary, but we will give special consideration to applicants who can contribute to the Streets.mn board in some of the following ways:

  • Fundraising
  • Engagement: social media and events
  • Volunteer management
  • Outreach experience
  • Editorial (editors, writers, videographers)
  • WordPress developer

If you’ve already applied, we’ve reached out! If you’re thinking about it, please apply by this coming Sunday.
