One Last Ride on the Northstar

Metro Transit is discontinuing the Northstar train service on January 5, no thanks to a useful proposal we’ve published to save it, and we at Streets.mn want to take a final ride. You’re invited to join us as we experience Minnesota’s only commuter rail service before it goes away! While we won’t be doing an Anoka adventure, we’ll still have some beverages afterwards.

On Friday, December 26, we’ll meet at Target Field Station at 3:15 PM to take the 3:38 PM Northstar train to Big Lake. We’ll be riding the Northstar train the full distance, from Target Field to Big Lake and back. The return trip arrives back at Target Field at 5:37 PM. Amenities on the train include bathrooms, charging points, and free wi-fi.

Once we return, we’ll be walking about two blocks to Modist Brewing, where we’ll meet up for a social hour to chat and relax! Even if you aren’t able to make the train journey, join us at Modist from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM for a happy hour and conversation!
