Join the events committee in our latest project, inspired by the iconic decorated Dutch bikes of Amsterdam. We have acquired three donated vintage bicycles from Full Cycle  that we plan to paint and decorate alongside members of the local Twin Cities community. Our goal is to transform these bikes into colorful, stationary art installations that serve as a sort of photo-op landmark and invite residents to linger and enjoy our city’s public realm.

Please join us on June 21st at 2829 Garfield Avenue (we will be in the backyard and garage area)  from 2-5pm to transform our bikes into lovely works of fine art. Arrive by bike by exiting the Greenway at the Soo Line Gardens or take the Bryant Avenue exit. Or arrive by Metro Transit Route 4, one block away on Lyndale. Please RSVP on our EventBrite so we can estimate a headcount.

This project is meant to be a simple, high-impact way to foster community pride and highlight the intersection of art and transportation. The decorated bikes will be placed throughout the Twin Cities for a few months (with Minneapolis  Parks Board and Public Works permission!)
