Then & Now: Saint Paul Ford Plant

stp-highland-theater-1956The Saint Paul Ford Plant closed for good this year, and is being demolished. I’ve always been fascinated by how recently the Highland area of Saint Paul was platted and developed compared with many other parts of the city. Here are some aerial photos of the Ford Plant area in Saint Paul, the corner of Ford Parkway and Cleveland Avenue.

There used to be some kind of test track / proving ground there! And boy did it take up a lot of space.

Who knows what this area will look like in another 20 years?

(OK, most of it will probably be the same. Nate will still have to move his car.)
