What Conan Teaches Us About Small Streets

I think that sometimes we get caught up in the jargon of urbanism and fail to give accessible, simple examples of why things like small streets matter.

Cue Conan.

This segment from Conan’s show is a perfect example of the human scale and what happens while just wandering the streets.

I tried linking to the appropriate time in the video, but it won’t let me. If you want to skip to the segment I’m talking about jump to 4:11, otherwise watch the whole thing.

Just a friendly post, not too Minnesota orientated, but rather something to ponder. Enjoy!

I agree that’s it’s a great example of how things can work when designed at the human scale. Thanks for sharing this video.
