Help Wanted! Join streets.mn Committees and Task Forces

help-wantedIf you didn’t already know, streets.mn is an all-volunteer operation with a shoestring budget. Basically, we rely on the energy and ideas of you, the readers and writers, to create the site.

And so far it’s working great!

But we could use your help. Apart from trying your hand at writing a post, there are a bunch of great ways to get involved by joining one of our committees

Forum and Comments Moderation Team (FACT)

We’re looking for folks to help with moderating both the streets.mn comments (conveniently located at the bottom of every post) and the streets.mn forum. We’d be interested in people that want to literally “expand the conversation” by making sure that we have welcoming and engaging comments, and would love your input on how to create a positive environment.

Social Media Active Response Team (SMART)

We’d love some help with our social media and outreach, making sure that the great content on the site reaches the widest possible audience, and using the tools of social media to get feedback from our audience about ways to improve the conversation here.

If you’re interested in either of these (awesomely-named) groups, send a short cover letter to me (Bill Lindeke) at [email protected].

And please, if you’d like to support streets.mn but don’t have time on your hands, join and become a member and help us with some of the costs. Every little bit adds up.

Thanks for your time, interest and energy. Without it, streets.mn wouldn’t exist.
