Support the Work and Ambitions of Streets.mn

Every day, decisions about our streets, transit and land use shape our neighborhoods and how we live, work and connect with one another. Yet, too often, the voices of everyday Minnesotans are left out of these critical conversations.

Streets.mn closes that gap, connecting Minnesotans with stories — big and small — that shape the world around us.

If you value quality journalism that humanizes untold stories of transportation and the built environment — as well as the “delight-cultivating” stories that underscore our values and celebrate the communities in which we live, work and play — we need you now more than ever.

Our Growing Impact

Founded in 2012 as a showcase for local blogs and original writing about transportation and land use, Streets.mn has grown substantially as an organization into Minnesota’s leading voice for community-centered transportation and land use stories.

In the past few years, we have:

  • Grown the professionalism of our publication through our paid managing editor, who works directly with writers of all backgrounds and skill sets to tell important stories.
  • Secured our first grant from the Minnesota Historical Society, aimed at unearthing histories of highway impacts on communities in Greater Minnesota.
  • Broadened partnerships with leading advocacy, planning and education organizations such as Our Streets, Neighbors for More Neighbors and BikeMN.
  • Expanded programming to include contributors’ workshops in Greater Minnesota, the Streets.mn podcast, and equity-driven initiatives and reporting.

Help Us Reach New Heights!

Help us reach more Minnesotan communities, tell more stories, and shape the future of transportation and land use discussions that center communities and the voices of Minnesotans.

From now until the end of June, Streets.mn needs to raise at least $3,500 to expand this important work.
