Feeling like you’re ready for some green to return to the Minnesota outdoors? Me too. Let this very brief promo video I made for the Minneapolis Saint Paul regional parks system whet your appetite and imagination. Summer is coming.
Good stuff Matty! We were just at Minnehaha Falls on Saturday, and though we’ve been there a bunch, we’d never actually done the hike down to the confluence with the Mississippi River. It’s really cool and there are several (5-6?) WPA built brick bridges over the creek. I’ll put this on the livemsp site that I manage.
One wonky question, what’s the “Twin Cities Regional Park System” that the narrator mentions and you mention in your text above? Are you all referring to the Met Council’s regional park system? Is this a partnership of MPLS and StP parks?
Thomas Mercier
I presume you’re right in assuming it is the Metropolitan Regional Park System that he is referencing which is operated by ten implementing agencies (6 of the 7 metro counties, Minneapolis Park Board, St Paul, Bloomington and Three Rivers Park District).

Yes, it’s referring to the Met Council system which is largely run by the local entities with some costs covered by the Met Council.
