Jessie Merriam

Jessie is a public historian and artist interested in oral and visual histories, and creative community engagement around ecological issues. She is the Research Coordinator for Our Streets Minneapolis where she gathers stories and archival information around highway impacts on Twin Cities neighborhoods. She is also a printmaker, instructor at Fireweed Community Woodshop, and an Artist in Residence with the Minneapolis-St. Paul Long Term Ecological Research project coordinating art and science outreach events. Recently she has enjoyed creating shadow puppet shows with musician and artist friends, and visiting bogs.
