Our new “Walk the Talk” series will highlight community meetings, slow roll bike rides, walk-and-talk neighborhood tours and other ways to build community and boost activism.

Open Streets is a warm-weather celebration of various neighborhoods in Minneapolis and a demonstration of how car-free events can build connections and community.

We’re planning a fun day with food, games and great Streets-ish conversation, and we want you to be part of it! This year, we’ll be at the Como Park picnic shelter in St. Paul, starting around 4 p.m.

Join us at Open Streets Franklin this year on Sunday, July 10! This year’s event spans East Franklin Avenue from Portland Avenue to 26th Avenue. Mingle in motion with us, starting at the west end and meandering east to reconvene on the west end in Seward. From there, we’ll venture off Franklin for a little stroll down Milwaukee Avenue, a biker- and ped-friendly mall and Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
